Jessica Shields, MD

About

Dr Jessica Shields is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. She received her MD/PhD degree and completed her neurosurgery residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Her PhD research focused on non-invasive brain stimulation and she spent a year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), completing a prestigious research fellowship. Dr Shields takes a collaborative approach with her patients, working with each patient’s goals as a top priority in determining treatment plans. She is devoted to providing compassionate, comprehensive care with special interests in deep brain stimulation, cervical spine surgery, cranial surgery and spine trauma.
