Nestor Gonzalez, MD, accomplished a unique training with two completed residencies in neurosurgery and radiology, fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology (neuroendovascular surgery) and a masters of science in clinical research. This allowed him to become one of the leaders in the country in the development of clinical and translational research in the cerebrovascular field. Dr Gonzalez is the principal investigator on several NIH and American Heart Association grants, including three science innovation awards of the AHA.
