Philipp Aldana, MD, FAANS, FAAP, is a University of Florida professor of neurosurgery and a board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon at UF Health in Jacksonville. He also serves as chief of the UF Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery - Jacksonville. Dr Aldana received his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics in Miami, Florida, as well as a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Primary Children's Hospital/University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He specializes in pediatric nervous system tumors, pediatric spinal surgery, brain injury, neuro-endoscopy, spasticity and moyamoya syndrome.
