Igor Koralnik, MD, is a neurologist and Chief of the Division of Neuroinfectious Disease and Global Neurology at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Koralnik is an internationally recognized expert in the management of neurological complications of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and infections of the nervous system. He is a leading researcher in the investigation of polyomavirus JC (JC virus), the causative agent of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), and has established a Global Neurology Program in Lusaka, Zambia.
