Dr. Umansky is a board certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon with Southern Brain & Spine in the New Orleans & Metarie area and specializes in spine surgery including robotic, minimally invasive, and complex deformity/scoliosis. Examples of conditions treated by the practice are spondylosis (degeneration), disc herniation, stenosis, scoliosis, spine fractures, myelopathy, spinal tumors, infection, and revision spinal surgery. He currently operates at Touro Infirmary, Crescent City Surgical Centre, and Ochnser Medical Center Kenner, LA. Along with special expertise in spinal surgery, Dr. Umansky has expertise in all fields of neurosurgery including brain tumors, epilepsy, peripheral neuropathy (carpal tunnel), hydrocephalus, and stroke.
