Cesar Serrano Almeida, MD, is the medical director of epilepsy surgery at Beaumont Children’s. He is board-certified in neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and in pediatric neurosurgery from the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. After completing a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Colorado, he worked for eight years at West Virginia University Health System as a pediatric neurosurgeon and recently completed a fellowship in epilepsy surgery at the Calgary Epilepsy Program. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
