Simin Khavandgar, MD

About

Simin Khavandgar, MD, is a neurologist and is certified in neurology, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed her residency and fellowship at UPMC. Dr. Khavandgar’s clinical and research interests include sleep medicine, EMG, and general neurology. She has a special interest in the interface of neurology and sleep medicine, including diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders associated with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, cerebrovascular disorders, and multiple sclerosis as well as other sleep disorders including narcolepsy, central and obstructive sleep apnea.
