About

Dr. Mathews was raised in the Southern California area and has been a resident of Tennessee since 1987. After completing his undergraduate degree at UCLA, he spent 10 years at Vanderbilt University where he attained his medical degree and completed his residency in Neurosurgery. He has served as an expert in his field over more than twenty years in the Middle Tennessee area. He enjoys helping his community with cranial and spinal disorders with special interests in minimally invasive techniques and the treatment of complex spinal disorders that occur from trauma, congenital, degenerative, and neoplastic disease. In his free time, he enjoys travel, golf, and spending time with his family in the South and the West Coast.
